From photo to vector
Build a portrait from looping strokes.
Scribble art builds an image through repeated passes of a wandering line. Dense loops collect in shadows while brighter areas receive fewer strokes.
A path guided by tone and edges
The drawing algorithm uses image information to guide a seeded path back toward dark areas that still need marks. Curves and loops accumulate into a portrait rather than tracing every visible boundary.
Try a subject with distinct facial features or a strong silhouette. Flat lighting can produce a softer drawing; a clear separation between light and shadow gives the path more structure to work with.
Control the character of the line
Select Scribble Art. Loop size changes the scale of the looping motion, while Edge following changes how strongly the path responds to image edges. Detail controls the amount of retained geometry.
Keep the seed fixed while comparing settings. Change it when you want a different arrangement of strokes using the same photograph. If the drawing feels too dense, lower the line weight or detail and regenerate.
Keep an editable drawing
The result is a continuous SVG path. You can change its stroke color and width in a vector editor without rerunning background removal.
High-detail scribbles can contain hundreds of thousands of points. For a smoother editing or plotting workflow, begin with moderate detail and increase it only when the intended output needs it.
